"It's all about playing great golf"

The Fairway Golf Driving Range has been in operation since the late 1980’s. Ed, Chris and Matt Britnell took over its operation in November 2002.

 

The business is continually being improved, and currently consists of 20 under-cover hitting bays, approximately 16 natural grass bays, a Bentgrass chipping green, including a sand bunker and a 328 putting green. For those members of the family not wanting to hit golf balls on the range, we have an 18 hole desert themed mini-golf course, (Putt-Putt,) overlooked by a 4m x 10m deck with barbecue hire available, a great place for kids parties or Christmas parties.

 

Golf coaching is one of our specialties, with three P.G.A. of Australia professionals on staff. Chris Britnell, Matt Britnell and Brendon Arthur are the staff professionals, and do both private lessons as well as group lessons, and coach beginners, juniors, through to intermediate and advanced players.

 

Junior coaching for beginner and intermediate players is on both Wednesday and Thursday  afternoons, while the advanced juniors have their day on Friday afternoons, all between 4pm and 5pm.

 

For any ladies looking to take up the game we run a 12 week beginner program which takes you through the basics of golf and sees us take you out onto the golf course for the 11^th and 12^th week of the program. This is perfect for anyone who has always wanted to play but never knew where or how to get started.

 

Our other specialty is the custom fitting of golf equipment. Many people using “off the rack,” equipment would be unaware that a perfect golf swing will only produce a straight golf shot if the equipment being used fits the player correctly. We have fitting sets for many brands of clubs including Titleist, Cobra, Nickent, and Wilson.

 

Whilst clubfitting is our specialty we also have beginner’s package sets and second hand clubs available, for those just starting or on a tight budget. We also stock a great range of Footjoy golf shoes, various brands of high quality shirts, gloves, and other accessories.
